On 3 August 2026, Omsin Sasipaporn Janthawisut, setter of Thailand's women's national volleyball team, gave an interview after winning the first round of the 6th SEA V Cup 2026 held in Hanoi, Vietnam.
In the final match, the Thai women's volleyball team delivered an outstanding performance, beating host Vietnam 3-0 sets (25-18, 25-17, 25-14) to claim the SEA V Cup title. This marked their 9th championship out of 10 rounds in the six tournaments held so far.
Omsin Sasipaporn Janthawisut, one of the senior players supporting her teammates, leveraged her experience to lead the team to victory in this first round, earning both the MVP and Best Setter awards.
Omsin Sasipaporn revealed two reasons why the Thai women's volleyball team performed strongly to beat Vietnam without dropping a set, especially after tough wins against Indonesia and the Philippines in the first two matches: "Firstly, I must commend Vietnam because they have improved tremendously."
"I was a little worried about how our gameplay would unfold today. But our team played well. Although there were still mistakes, we supported each other and performed at a good standard."
"(The two reasons for beating Vietnam) are that everyone helped each other play, and everyone maintained their own responsibilities and performance. We had discussed in the meeting that everyone had to fulfill their roles, and the gameplay followed a positive direction."
