Atcharaporn speaks candidly after having to play as an outside hitter for the Thailand women's volleyball team.
"Atcharaporn" confirmed that she is ready to give her best to support the "Thailand women's volleyball team" regardless of the position she plays.
Following the Thai women's national volleyball team's 3-0 victory over Indonesia with set scores of 25-18, 25-17, and 25-12 in the BYD DMI 6th SEA V CUP 2026 second leg, match 2, held at Gymnasium 1, 700th Anniversary Sports Complex, Chiang Mai Province.
After the match, "P'Pew" Atcharaporn Kongyot, a star spiker of the Thai women's team, gave an interview about playing as an outside hitter.
"For me, no matter what position I play, if I can help the team improve or support the team, I see it as a great opportunity and something I want to do. We all share the same goal, so whatever position I'm in, I always give my best."
"I still need to adjust my timing and rhythm because attacking as an opposite hitter and as an outside hitter involves different approaches. I also need to retune my timing. Previously, I played outside hitter occasionally, switching back and forth, but over the past five years, I mostly played as an opposite hitter with some outside hitter experience."
"As for natural style, I think it’s similar because I like playing mixed attacks. When I play outside hitter, I also execute mixed attacks. But to be truly natural in this role will take more time because I might enter the ball a bit too early and sometimes my timing isn’t quite precise," Atcharaporn said.
The Thailand women's volleyball team will continue competing in the SEA V CUP 2026 second leg, match 3, against the "Golden Star" Vietnamese women's national volleyball team on 9 August at 16:30 local time.
