On 9 August 2026 GMT+7, the SEA V Cup champions' record was updated after the Thai national women's volleyball team beautifully won the 6th SEA V Cup 2026 Leg 2 in Chiang Mai by winning all 3 matches without losing a set, earning a perfect 9 points.
This victory made the Thai women's volleyball team champions in 10 out of 11 tournaments since the first event in 2019, originally called the ASEAN Grand Prix before it was renamed SEA V.League in 2023 and then SEA V Cup this year.
The Thai women's volleyball team had only missed the championship once at the 2025 SEA V.League Leg 2 hosted by Vietnam, where Vietnam defeated Thailand. However, this year the Thai women reclaimed both leg championships without dispute.
