"Thaddao" reveals three key focus areas for Thai women's volleyball ahead of the Asian Championship to chase an Olympic ticket to Paris 2028.
On 9 August 2026, Nan Thaddao Nukjaeng, a key fast attacker for the Thai women's national volleyball team, spoke after winning the 6th SEA V Cup 2026 Leg 2 in Chiang Mai. The team won all three matches without dropping a set, earning a perfect 9 points.
However, Nan Thaddao Nukjaeng admitted there are still minor errors the Thai women's volleyball team needs to fix before competing in the 2026 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship from 21-30 August in China.
The Thai women's volleyball team has set their goal to win the upcoming Asian Championship since the champion team will automatically qualify for the 2028 Olympics, a first-ever ultimate target for Thailand's national team.
Nan Thaddao Nukjaeng identified three key areas Thai women's volleyball must focus on ahead of the Asian Championship:
- "Overall, things are good, but there are still small mistakes in team relationships and communication, especially during the first set when things aren't flowing smoothly. We need to focus more on communication so our beautiful style of play can come together better."
- "Certainly, our team has emphasized serving this year because when we face teams with taller or stronger hitters, we must disrupt them with our serves. Today, everyone served well and scored many aces. Importantly, we want to earn credit for Coach Ott (Kiattipong Ratchatkriangkrai) too," she said with a laugh.
- "We must prepare the team in the best condition, including all players' physical fitness and team coordination. Communication must improve for our goal, which is to win the Asian Championship."
"Everyone's physical condition is quite good. BumBim Chatchu-on Moksri has returned to strengthen the team, serving as an important puzzle piece in the middle blocker position, helping with player rotation. This supports our fast attackers and everyone else, allowing us to support each other."
