Thai snooker player Noppon Saengkham, nicknamed "Moo Paknam," opened up about his 6-10 loss to Mark Selby in the final of the China Open 2026 and revealed his latest world ranking.


On 17 Aug 2026 GMT+7, Thai snooker player Noppon Saengkham, known as "Moo Paknam," shared his thoughts after losing 6-10 to Mark Selby in the final at the Riverside Sports Center in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province, China, revealing that his world ranking had risen significantly by 18 places.

This time, Noppon Saengkham earned the runner-up title and a prize of £100,000 (about 4.5 million baht), while his world ranking improved by 18 spots, moving from 45th up to 27th in the official standings.

Recently, Noppon Saengkham said, “I am proud to be a snooker player. This is the biggest check of my professional career. When I first seriously started in this sport, I had only a mat and a pillow. Back then, at Ajarn Yik Samrong’s snooker club, I survived on no more than 500 baht a week from my parents. Today, I have come a long way from that day. Thank you to everyone who has supported me all week. I will come back stronger. One day, it will be mine.”
