Atcharaporn Reveals Every Match in the 2026 Asian Championship is Crucial for Thailand Womens Volleyball

"Atcharaporn" reveals that every match in the "2026 Asian Championship" is crucial for the "Thailand Women's Volleyball" team.

On 20 August 2026, ahead of the 2026 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship in Tianjin, China, from 21 to 30 August, the Thai national team, as defending champions, is placed in Group B with Kazakhstan, Indonesia, and Australia. This event is significant as it serves as a qualifying tournament for the 2028 Olympics and the World Championship.

Recently, the Thai national team trained at the actual competition venue, Tianjin Olympic Center Gymnasium, for one hour. Head coach Ott Kiattipong Ratchakriangkrai said, "The last time we were here was around 2015. BumBim was still a child, only 15 years old, and Beam was with us learning from seniors. We discussed with Bim and Beam that this time, we will do our best together. Everyone is very dedicated and focused."

"The venue here is large and has many dimensions, but our athletes adapted quickly. We arrived an hour early and practiced outside on the training court first to prepare since we only had one hour of practice. Inside, we focused on systems and tactics, emphasizing blocking defense. This is expected to be our final practice; there will be no practice on match day tomorrow."

Meanwhile, Atcharaporn Kongyot shared, "Once we reached the actual court, everyone started to get into their own rhythm. Earlier, practicing at another venue was difficult to adjust to, but here at the main court, we adapted quite well. Everyone is trying to fulfill their roles. I think now everyone is very ready, both physically and mentally."

"We are very fortunate to have staff from the Sports Authority of Thailand assisting with team recovery and a psychologist helping us. Now, we just need to perform our best on the court. This tournament is very important; every match matters. No matter who we face, we want to receive encouragement from everyone."

The schedule for Thailand's women's volleyball team in the 2026 Asian Championship group stage, Group B, has their first match on 21 August 2026 against Australia, starting at 14:00 GMT+7.
