Thanarats Replacement Opens Up Before Helping Thai Womens Volleyball Team in Asian Championship Quarterfinals

"Thanarat's Replacement" shares her thoughts before helping the Thai women's volleyball team compete in the Asian Championship quarterfinals.

On 27 August 2026, Bo Kanyarat Khunmuang, a fast attacker for the Thai women's national volleyball team, revealed her latest readiness before facing South Korea in the Asian Women's Volleyball Championship quarterfinals today at 13:00 Thailand time.

In this match, Coach Ott Kiattipong Ratchakriangkrai, head coach of the Thai women's volleyball team, is expected to rest Nan Thanarat Nukjang, the team's main fast attacker, for another game to recover from injury after she did not play in the third group stage match against Kazakhstan, which they won 3-1 on Tuesday, 25 August.

Meanwhile, Bo Kanyarat Khunmuang, who is likely to step in for Nan Thanarat Nukjang, opened up after having the chance to play in the previous game against Kazakhstan, saying, "We've trained fully, though I didn't know if I would play. I'll do my best. Today’s practice, I gave it my all."

Feelings and adjustment when given the opportunity to play.

"Every time I get on the court with the seniors, like in the previous full squad, I wonder if I can perform well because I want to help them. I still feel a bit nervous, not fully relaxed yet, but I try to blend in with the team as best as I can. I'll keep trying to improve."

Advice and care from the team's sports psychologist.

"He told me about my weakness—that when I can’t perform well, I tend to stress too much and dwell on it too long. He advised me to cut my emotions quickly—to be happy quickly, upset quickly—so I can do everything faster because the game is fast, and we need to keep playing the next ball continuously."

"Whenever I talk to the coach, I feel better every time because he helps me a lot. He always asks how I am, what my weaknesses and strengths are, which helps me improve."
