Pimphichaya has made her decision ahead of the Thailand women's volleyball team facing Japan in the 2026 Asian Championship.
The latest update before the Thailand women's national volleyball team, ranked 17th in the world, meets the Japan national team, ranked 6th globally, in the semifinals of the 2026 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship, held today (Saturday, 29 Aug 2026) at 16:15 GMT+7 in Tianjin, People's Republic of China.
Recently, “Beam” Pimphichaya Gkrum, a Thai national team hitter, said before the game that she has decided to give her best effort to defeat Japan and advance to the final.
Pimphichaya said, “I believe many people will be excited and watching us closely today. We will do our best and want to beat Japan. We won’t pressure ourselves and will play in our own style.”
“In our latest practice, we focused on the Block Defend system, planning how to play against Japan.”
“As for the attack, I think it’s one of our greatest strengths because we have a diverse mix of plays. But the Block Defend is very important and something we must focus on.”
