A warm celebration for the whole community! Villagers and monks at Ban Thao Temple put up a congratulatory sign for Aomsin Sasipaporn on winning the Asian Championship and qualifying for the 2028 Olympics.
On 2 September 2026, a proud moment for the community unfolded with the story of Aomsin Sasipaporn Chantravisut, a Thai national women's volleyball player and talented descendant from Tha Ruea district, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province. She led her team to an Asian Championship victory and secured a ticket to the 2028 Olympics.
Recently, the entrance to Ban Thao village became filled with warmth as Assistant Abbot Phra Charaspong Kittiyano of Ban Thao Temple, along with villagers, united their efforts to create and install a congratulatory sign. This was to show support and pride for the achievements of "Little Aomsin," a local talent.
The sign reads: "Asian Champion, Olympic Ticket LA 2028, Little Aomsin, the Great Warrior of Krungsri Ayutthaya, Talented Child of Ban Thao Temple, Proud of Tha Ruea District's Finest."
From a "child of Ban Thao Temple" to wearing the Thai national team jersey and becoming a key player, Aomsin Sasipaporn's success is not only a family pride but also a source of pride for Ban Thao villagers and the people of Tha Ruea district, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province.
Aomsin Sasipaporn Chantravisut won the Best Spiker award at the 2026 Asian Championship by scoring the highest total attack points of 104.
