The result was a superb performance by "Mook" Ornicha Jongsathapornpan and "Sabi" Sabrina Sopita Wedler, who defeated the host pair Lani Triya Mayasari and Esther Nurumi Tri Wardoyo in straight games, 21-15, 21-13, in 47 minutes.
This victory earned "Mook" Ornicha Jongsathapornpan and "Sabi" Sabrina Sopita Wedler their first World Tour semifinal appearance. They will meet Taiwan's Zhou Yun An and Ke Ruo Xuan, ranked 460th in the world, who beat South Korea's Park Se Ul and In So Moon, ranked 122nd, in straight games 21-11, 21-19.
