The Thailand Padel Sports Association has made a new historical milestone! The Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) announced official recognition of padel as a sport and is sending four athletes to compete in the Asian Games for the first time.
On 7 September 2026, the Thailand Padel Sports Association announced a major step forward for padel in Thailand after receiving official recognition as a sport from the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) since October 2025. The association is set to send a four-athlete Thai national team to compete at the Asian Games in Japan for the first time in history, and has secured the rights to host two consecutive weeks of FIP World Ranking tournaments in September to position Thailand as Asia’s padel hub.
The National Olympic Committee of Thailand under Royal Patronage supports the Thai padel national team consisting of four athletes (two men and two women). They will compete on the Asian Games stage for the first time ever, from 28 September to 4 October this year. The team aims to advance as far as possible, gain international experience, and prepare for medal contention at the 2027 SEA Games in Malaysia.
The roster of the Thai national team athletes includes: They are:
Men’s team: Mr. Arnav Rawal and Mr. Stefano Mocciola.
Women’s team: Miss Dares Srirungreang and Miss Natalie Narkpasert.

To boost Thai athletes’ potential and promote sports tourism, the Thailand Padel Sports Association has secured rights to host two consecutive weeks of FIP World Ranking events in Thailand, expected to attract over 500 professional athletes from around the world. These events are:
FIP Bronze Phuket | 9–13 September 2026 at WAREHAUS CLUB, Phuket Province
FIP Silver Bangkok | 17–20 September 2026 at Pista Samakom Racquet & Social Club, Bangkok
