On 9 September 2026, the latest men's volleyball world rankings were released for the eight teams advancing to the quarterfinals of the 2026 Asian Men's Volleyball Championship in Fukuoka, Japan, before the quarterfinal matches begin.
Thailand's men's volleyball team is among the eight quarterfinalists after defeating Qatar, South Korea, and Chinese Taipei, earning 7 points to decisively win Group C.
These three group stage victories propelled Thailand's men's volleyball world ranking up 15 places, from 62nd to 47th, making it the nation with the biggest ranking improvement in the past week.
This latest ranking puts Thailand 6th among the eight quarterfinal teams in the 2026 Asian Championship, overtaking India and Chinese Taipei, though their next opponent Australia remains 5 places higher in the rankings.
