On 13 September 2026, Som Saranrak Wititsanan, younger sister of View Kulwut Wititsanan, made her mark on the international stage by winning the women's singles title at the 2026 Vietnam Open, a BWF World Tour Super 100 event.
In the final, Som Saranrak Wititsanan defeated India's world No. 39 Isharani Barua in straight sets, 21-8, 21-15, securing her first ever World Tour level championship.
This victory marked Som Saranrak Wititsanan's third title this year, following wins at the Philippines International Challenge and the Malaysia International Challenge, reaching four finals within just six weeks.
Moreover, Som Saranrak Wititsanan is set for a significant leap in the world rankings, expected to rise from No. 106 to No. 79 in women's singles in the next BWF world ranking update.
