In the semifinals, “Bas” Dechapol Puavaranukroh paired with “Fem” Supissara Paewsampran, the tournament's second seeds, showed sharp form and controlled the match before comfortably defeating third-seeded Indonesian pair Jafar Hidayatullah and Felicia Alberta Nathaniel 2-0, with scores of 21-17, 21-15, advancing to the final.
Meanwhile, on the other side, “Title” Ruttanapak Oupthong teamed with “Jen” Choe Yanicha Sudjaiprarat delivered an outstanding performance, decisively upsetting the world champions and the world No. 3 pair from Malaysia 2-0, 21-15, 21-16, securing their spot in the final as well.
As a result, the badminton mixed doubles event at SEA Games 2025 is guaranteed to award the gold medal to Thailand, setting up an all-Thai final between these two pairs.
