Full Month Rest! “View Kulwut” Withdraws from Another Tournament After Pulling Out of Thailand Masters

“View” Kulwut Vitidsarn has withdrawn from the Indonesia Masters, adding another tournament to his list after pulling out of the Thailand Masters. He is expected to return at the All England Open in early March.

On 19 January 2026, it was reported that “View” Kulwut Vitidsarn, the world’s No. 2 men's singles badminton player, decided to withdraw from the Indonesia Masters 2026, a World Tour Super 500 event scheduled from 20–25 January 2026, following his earlier withdrawal from the Princess Sirivannavari Thailand Masters 2026.

Kulwut’s continuous withdrawals aim primarily to rest and preserve his physical condition after competing intensively since the start of the year. He is expected to return at a major World Tour Super 1000 event, the All England Open 2026, in England from 3–8 March 2026, allowing him a full rest throughout February.

In 2026, View Kulwut has competed in two tournaments: the Malaysia Open 2026 (Super 1000) and India Open 2026 (Super 750). At the Malaysia Open, he made history by winning his first-ever Super 1000 title, becoming the first Thai men’s singles player to claim a title at this level.

This extended rest early in the season is viewed as a long-term strategy to maintain peak freshness and readiness before returning to compete in the major upcoming World Tour events.
