
Supak Chomko and Oranicha Jongsathapornpan overturned the Yellow Tigers to advance to the quarterfinals at the Yonex German Open 2026 badminton tournament.
The Yonex German Open 2026, a Badminton World Tour Super 300 event with prize money of 250,000 USD (approximately 7.7 million baht), took place from 24 February to 1 March 2026 in Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany. In the second round, "Em" Supak Chomko and "Muk" Oranicha Jongsathapornpan, the world’s 77th-ranked mixed doubles pair, faced Malaysia’s Jimmy Wong and Lai Pei Jing, ranked 24th globally. The Thai duo had previously edged them 2-1 in the Thailand Masters in January.
"Em" Supak Chomko and "Muk" Oranicha Jongsathapornpan played sharply and confidently, securing a 2-0 game victory with scores of 21-16 and 22-20. In the second game, the Thai pair trailed early and saved four game points while down 16-20 before scoring six consecutive points to clinch a thrilling 22-20 win.
This victory advanced "Em" Supak Chomko and "Muk" Oranicha Jongsathapornpan to the quarterfinals, where they will face Yang Po-Hsuan and Hu Ling Fang, the world’s 31st-ranked pair from Taiwan.
