
Supanida Kaeothong, a Thai female badminton player known as "Me," defeated the No. 1 seed to win the Swiss Open 2026.
The Yonex Swiss Open 2026 badminton tournament, a World Tour Super 300 event with a total prize pool of 250,000 US dollars (approximately 7,875,000 baht), was held in Basel, Switzerland, on Sunday, 15 March 2026, reaching the final stage.
In the women's singles, "Me" Supanida Kaeothong, the seventh seed and world No. 14, faced Putri Kusuma Wardani, the top seed and world No. 6 from Indonesia.
Supanida Kaeothong defeated Putri Kusuma Wardani in straight games, 21-11 and 21-15, to claim the Swiss Open 2026 title.
This became Supanida's first BWF World Tour title in two years and her third overall, following the 2023 US Open Super 300 and the 2024 Thailand Open Super 500.
