In the first round of the World Tour Super 500 badminton event, the "Perodua Malaysia Masters 2026" held in Malaysia on 20 May, "Mook" Ornicha Jongsathapornpan and "Sabi" Sabrina Sopita Wedler, the world's 270th ranked women's doubles pair, played with solid and sharp form. They upset the Japanese pair Kaho Osawa and Mai Tanabe, ranked 16th in the world and seeded 4th, winning in straight games 21-17, 21-19. In the second round, "Mook-Sabi" will face Francesca Corbett and Jenny Gai, ranked 25th in the world from the United States.
In mixed doubles, "Bas" Dechapol Puavaranukroh and "Fem" Suphisara Paewsampran, ranked 3rd in the world and top seeds, faced the pair "Omo" Pakkapon Theeraratsakul and "Popo" Thapsiri Taerattanachai, ranked 20th globally.
