At the 2026 Badminton World Championship in India, the mixed doubles pair "Bas" Dechapol Puavaranukroh and "Fem" Supissara Paewsampran, ranked 4th in the world and seeded 4th in the event, faced off in the third round (round of 16) against Yuichi Shimogami and Sayaka Hobara, ranked 16th and seeded 13th respectively.

In the deciding game, "Bas" Dechapol Puavaranukroh and "Fem" Supissara Paewsampran maintained their strong performance and ultimately won 2-1 with scores of 17-21, 21-12, and 21-17, in a match lasting 57 minutes.
This victory puts "Bas" Dechapol Puavaranukroh and "Fem" Supissara Paewsampran into the quarterfinals, where they will face the winner between Tom Gicquel and Delphine Delrue, the world-ranked 5th pair from France, or Presley Smith and Jenny Kai, ranked 17th from the United States.
