SOLYX Esports Player Banned for Serious Gambling Violation as a Professional Athlete

A SOLYX Esports player has been banned after committing a serious violation involving gambling while being a professional athlete, an act that also constitutes a legal offense.

On 7 Mar 2026 GMT+7, the Garena RoV Tournament Facebook page issued a statement announcing the ban of a player. After joint investigation with SOLYX Esports, it was found that one player from the team violated the conditions, rules, and regulations of the international RoV esports competition by engaging in gambling-related behavior while being a professional athlete. This is classified as a severe offense under the competition rules and also constitutes a legal violation.

The organizers have completed reviewing the evidence and facts in cooperation with the player's club. Consequently, the player has been permanently banned from participating in the RoV Pro League and any other competitions organized by Garena, as well as losing all other rights as a professional athlete in Arena of Valor (RoV). This penalty is effective immediately, according to the prescribed sanctions in the aforementioned rules.

As the esports event organizer, Garena plays a key role in maintaining competition standards and the RoV esports community. Athletes serve as public figures and role models for youth and society. Therefore, Garena places great importance on upholding athlete behavior, ethics, and integrity standards and will strictly enforce rules against all forms of misconduct, especially gambling-related actions.

To collectively preserve fairness, transparency, and ethical standards in esports competitions, Garena urges all athletes to strictly adhere to the rules and requests clubs to monitor their players to ensure compliance with competition standards. Should any participant be found violating the rules, the organizers will immediately consider and impose sanctions.

Anyone with evidence of inappropriate behavior by athletes can submit it via the Customer Service website under the category ‘Report Misconduct of RoV Pro League Athletes.’
