Pro Jeen Opens Up About Her Journey to Success: No Shortcuts, Discipline More Important Than Rankings, Believes Good Results Will Bring Championships

Pro Jeen, the world number one Thai female golfer, opened up about her career journey, admitting that while the success many see may appear beautiful and sweet, behind it lies intense training and continuous struggles. She shared advice for younger athletes that nothing comes easily; everything must be earned through discipline and dedication.

On 20 Jan 2025 GMT+7, Pro Jeen discussed her goals for 2026, revealing she does not view success solely in terms of the number of championships or awards. Although everyone wants to win every tournament, golf is an unpredictable sport. She places greater importance on consistently improving performance, especially by refining statistics and details in her game—turning weaknesses or "red numbers" into "green numbers." If overall performance improves or remains near last year's standards, she believes success and championships will naturally follow.

Additionally, Pro Jeen emphasized that she has never viewed competition as a chase or comparison against anyone in particular, as she believes every golfer does their best. What lasts longest is not world rankings or trophies, but discipline, having good people around, and support from mentors who have stood by her throughout.

“No one can hold a position forever. I have never wanted to cling to any ranking or status, but I believe there are many other valuable qualities within us worth preserving,” Pro Jeen said.

Regarding on-course performance, Pro Jeen sees it as the outcome of practice, discipline, and dedication. Whatever the results, she is ready to accept, correct, and improve daily. In golf, each week more than 120–140 golfers compete, but only one champion emerges. Sometimes even a good performance is surpassed by others, which doesn’t mean those golfers didn’t try their best.

Pro Jeen concluded by saying the most important thing is to focus on the process, continuously develop oneself, and do one’s best each day, as everyone in the sport is striving hard every day anyway.
