10 January 2026 – Golf and motorsport fans have reason to celebrate as the organizers of the world-class women's golf tournament, Honda LPGA Thailand 2026, officially announced the invited players. Among the most talked-about names is Muni He, a popular Chinese pro golfer beloved by Thai fans, who recently announced her engagement to Thai F1 driver Alex Albon earlier this year.
Muni He, affectionately called “Lily” by fans, will be one of 12 invited golfers competing alongside top international talents at Siam Country Club Old Course, Pattaya, from 19-22 February 2026.
At 26 years old, Muni He is a charismatic player with a large fan base and a long-standing connection to the Honda LPGA Thailand event. This year marks her fifth appearance. Organizers emphasized that her selection was not based solely on world rankings but because she brings "energy, personality, and stories" that enrich the tournament and engage audiences.
Besides Muni He, golf fans will see the performance of “Gino” Atthaya Thitikul, who will defend her home turf as the world number one, along with other invited stars such as Japan’s major champion Yuka Saso and American Danielle Kang.
The Honda LPGA Thailand 2026 features a total prize purse of $1.8 million (approximately 60 million baht) in a 72-hole stroke play format with no cut. Fans can cheer on this “Thai daughter-in-law” and the Thai female golfers throughout the four-day competition.
Recently, organizers announced the list of 12 invited golfers who will compete from 19–22 February 2026 at Siam Country Club Old Course, Pattaya, for the $1.8 million total prize money (around 60 million baht).
The field comprises 4 players from Thailand, 4 from Japan, 2 from the United States, 1 from China, and 1 from Italy.
Among the Thai golfers, the list features two veterans with long ties to this venue, Mo-Moriya Jutanugarn, and Waen-Pornanong Phatlum, who continue to play important roles both on the course and as representatives of the growth of women's golf in Thailand, alongside new talents like April-Chonkanan Angurseranee, a 21-year-old Ladies European Tour player and champion of the Honda LPGA Thailand 2026 National Qualifiers, and Prim-Prim Prachanok, a 17-year-old Thai amateur golfer and two-time SEA Games gold medalist. She has been invited as the sole amateur competitor and will also play in the prestigious Augusta National Women’s Amateur. Together, the blend of experience, determination, and youthful energy makes this invited group more than just additional names—it’s part of a story unfolding on the tournament fairways.
