Jun Yesong Takes Solo Lead at 12 Under in KLPGA Rejuran Championship at Amata Spring

Jun Yesong, a South Korean female golfer, surged to a solo lead after the third round with a total score of 12 under par 204. Lee Yewon stands second, just one stroke behind with a total of 11 under par 205. Meanwhile, Thai pro Natkrita Wongtaweelap finished at 9 under par 203, three strokes behind the leader, still with hope. All three will play together in the final round of the KLPGA Tour Rejuran Championship 2026, with a total prize fund of 1.2 billion won (about 22.44 million baht). The winner will receive 216 million won (around 4.65 million baht). Each day, golf fans have shown strong interest at Amata Spring Country Club in Chonburi Province, a 6,552-yard, par-72 course.

The 2026 KLPGA Tour season opener in Thailand is sponsored primarily by Rejuran Farm Research, with partners including the Tourism Authority of Thailand (Amazing Thailand), K-Food, K-Berry, Thailand Post, UIH, TP.Millis, WAC, Nolbu, Monkey Travel, Smith and Leather, Golf Pride, SBS Golf, Golf Plus, and Quad Sports. The competition is stroke play over four days and 72 holes, held from 12 to 15 March 2026, with a total prize purse of 1.2 billion won (about 22.44 million baht).

On Saturday, 14 March 2026, the third round, South Korean golfer Jun Yesong started at hole 1 but bogeyed at hole 3 after a three-putt. She then made two birdies at holes 6 and 7 with putts from 3 and 2 feet. Starting the final nine holes, she made three consecutive birdies at holes 11, 12, and 13 with putts from 2, 2.5, and 4 feet, respectively, and finished with a birdie at hole 16 from a putt under 3 feet. Fellow South Korean Lee Yewon, the 2024 KLPGA Thailand champion, is second after this round with a 3-under-par 69 and a three-day total of 11 under par 205, one stroke behind. The leader said after the round, "I previously practiced with coach Kim Haerim in the U.S. to adjust my swing, which improved my distance. I applied that here. The green speeds here respond well to putting, but there is immediate trouble when the ball lands in the rough. Finishing with 5 under par is a satisfying score. I admit I'm excited about the final round, so I don't want to rush and will be more cautious. I hope my performance will be good."

Thai golfer Natkrita Wongtaweelap, the best-performing Thai in the event, started with four par saves, made a birdie at hole 5, and bogeyed at hole 9. In the back nine, she birdied hole 10 with a 2.5-foot putt and eagled hole 11, a par 5, by hitting her second shot onto the green and sinking a 1.5-foot putt. At hole 16, she bogeyed after missing a 6-foot par-saving putt but recovered with a birdie at hole 17, a par 3, from a 3.5-foot putt. She finished the round at 3 under par 69 with a three-day total of 9 under par 203, tied for third place with Lee Saenghyun, Moon Jungmin, and Kim Kahui, three strokes behind the leader.

After the round, Natkrita said, "It was another good day like all the previous ones. The wind conditions were not much of an obstacle. The eagle on hole 11 came from a second shot from 228 yards onto the green. I admit I had some putting problems, which caused bogeys on two holes. When under a lot of pressure or facing difficulties, I always think of the 'Eight Directions Universal Auspicious Mantra' and recite it in my mind. That is the only thing that helps me get back on track."

Lee Jaeyoon, Ji Hansol, Lim Jinyang, Jung Soyi, and Park Bokyom tied for eighth place with a total score of 8 under par 208. Choi Gabin, Lee Daeyeon, Choi Yebon, and amateur Oh Sumin tied for 13th place at 7 under par 209. Meanwhile, Seo Kyolim, Park Hyunhyung, Park Seo Jin, Yoon Soa, Jang Unsoo, and Hong Hungmin tied for 17th place with 6 under par 210.

Other Thai golfers' results include Jaravee Boonchan and Kanj Bannabodi tied for 35th with a total of 4 under par 212. Chakansim Khambon finished tied for 44th at 2 under par 214. Nemittra Chantanaket tied for 69th at 3 over par 219, and Pannarath Thanaponboonrasm finished 73rd at 5 over par 221.

The final round on Sunday, 15 March will start simultaneously from holes 1 and 10 at 9:00 a.m. Thai pro Natkrita Wongtaweelap will compete in the last group alongside Jun Yesong and Lee Yewon, beginning play at 11:00 a.m.
