Amata Spring Country Club Unveils Redesigned Floating Green at Hole 17, Reinforcing Championship-Level Golf Standards

Amata Spring Country Club has unveiled a redesigned floating green at hole 17 under the concept "An Icon Reimagined," reinforcing its standard as a championship-level golf course.

Amata Spring Country Club, one of Asia’s leading championship golf courses, has unveiled the redesigned floating green at hole 17, the course’s signature hole, under the concept “Amata Spring 17th – An Icon Reimagined.” This reflects the club’s commitment to continuous development and maintenance of course standards, while reaffirming its role as a premier destination.

The concept “An Icon Reimagined” reflects the reinterpretation and enhancement of the unique identity of hole 17, the course’s iconic hole, improving its green structure, surface quality, and playing experience. The aim is to preserve the charm and challenge of this signature hole while elevating course standards to meet the expectations of today’s golfers.

Isara Wongkusolkit, Chief Executive Officer of Amata Spring Country Club, said, “Hole 17 is an icon of Amata Spring Country Club and one of the holes remembered by golfers worldwide. This floating green renovation is not just about improving course elements but about advancing our course identity to the next level under the concept ‘An Icon Reimagined.’ It reflects our dedication to maintaining championship-level golf standards while enhancing the playing experience for both members and visitors from around the globe.”

Over more than two decades, Amata Spring Country Club has earned international recognition and hosted several world-class golf tournaments, including the Thailand Golf Championship, The Royal Trophy, and the Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship, attracting top golfers and major champions to compete at this venue.

In addition to renovating the floating green at hole 17, the course has upgraded the quality of greens throughout by replacing Paspalum grass with TifEagle, a type favored on championship courses worldwide. This grass offers greater speed and consistency on the greens, a smooth surface, resistance to disease, and adaptability to hot climates.

This renovation reflects Amata Spring Country Club’s ongoing commitment to developing and maintaining high course standards, ensuring that members and golfers consistently enjoy a quality playing experience. It also reaffirms the club’s status as a key championship golf venue in Thailand and the Asian region.
