‘Chang Amateur Championship 2026’ to Contest for a Spot on the Chongqing City Trip

The 2026 season of the Chang Amateur Championship searches for players to join a golf trip to the 8-dimensional metropolis of Chongqing, opening its first qualifying round at Lotus Valley Golf Resort in Chachoengsao Province.

Golf Time Syndicate Co., Ltd., in collaboration with Chang International Co., Ltd., under the sponsorship of Chang Natural Mineral Water, has launched the 2026 Chang Amateur Championship Presented by ES Construction. This new season aims to select 28 golfers from seven qualifying venues to join an exclusive golf and travel trip to the 8-dimensional city of Chongqing, People's Republic of China, at the end of the year. The season's press conference took place on Tuesday, 24 March 2026 GMT+7, at Lotus Valley Golf Resort in Chachoengsao Province, featuring Mr. Rojanasit Meenijasin, Assistant Sports Director of Thai Beverage Public Company Limited, and Mr. Chatnakorn Chuankul, Managing Director of Golf Time Syndicate Co., Ltd., as speakers.

Mr. Rojanasit Meenijasin, Assistant Sports Director of Thai Beverage Public Company Limited, stated, “Chang Natural Mineral Water has supported Thai golf for nearly 20 years with the goal of developing and sustaining the entire golf ecosystem—from youth golfers and amateurs to professionals. For youth, Chang organizes various tournaments to provide nationwide opportunities for skill development, complemented by the Chang Thailand Junior Golf Clinic project, which trains young players according to international standards from the basics through to professional levels. We have witnessed many youth grow into professional golfers, such as Kanjan Charoenkul, Ray Amarin Kraivichien, and Fever Nitithorn Thippong, an Asian Tour three-time champion, all products of these efforts. Additionally, Chang supports amateur golf widely, with the Chang Amateur Championship being a key competition we have continuously backed for 19 years. Over time, we have seen many amateur golfers nationwide participate enthusiastically, not only competing for numerous prizes but also improving their skills progressively, fulfilling Chang’s original intent.”

Mr. Chatnakorn Chuankul, Managing Director of Golf Time Syndicate Co., Ltd., said, “Golf Time is grateful to Chang for their continued trust that has proudly brought us into our 19th year. The enthusiastic response from participating golfers motivates us to create one of Thailand's most exciting tournaments.”

“Chang’s challenge to us remains rigorous, and this year we added new ideas. Beyond skill-based prizes, we aimed to introduce instant luck-based rewards. After discussions, we decided to modify some jackpot prizes from random draws to golf equipment and attractive merchandise, allowing lucky winners to take home prizes immediately. The grand prizes everyone anticipates will remain unchanged.”

For the tour package, we selected Chongqing as the destination, a city that continues to attract travelers with its vibrant appeal as a futuristic metropolis. Its dazzling scenery and dynamic atmosphere provide visitors with an endlessly exciting experience. By incorporating golf on spectacular courses there, joining the Chang family trip with one’s family promises an unforgettable impression.

We also extend thanks to ES Construction (Thailand) Co., Ltd. for their vital support, which has been crucial to the success of this project. Thanks to all the partner golf courses for their honorable cooperation in hosting qualifiers and helping expand a quality golf community continuously. We appreciate the media for promoting the news and all distinguished guests who attended the event.

Finally, Golf Time Syndicate Co., Ltd., as the organizer of the Chang Amateur Championship 2026 Presented by ES, sincerely thanks all golfers for their support, for being part of the Chang family, and for creating a warm and positive atmosphere. We hope for continued support of such valuable activities.

The 2026 Chang Amateur Championship Presented by ES Construction divides competitors into three flights: Flight A with handicaps 0-9.9, Flight B with handicaps 10-18.9, and Flight C with handicaps 19-24. The committee will randomly select two out of three handicap calculation systems (36 system, Double Peoria, and Callaway) to average for use in that round. Winners from each flight and one lucky draw winner per qualifying venue—four in total—will earn the right to join an exclusive golf and travel trip to Chongqing, China.
