Pro Gino Atthaya, in hot form, surged ahead to win the Portland Classic golf tournament.
The LPGA Tour golf event "The Standard Portland Classic," with a total prize of $2 million, approximately 68 million baht, took place at Columbia Edgewater Country Club in Portland, Oregon, USA, last Sunday, featuring a final round showdown.
In the final round, world No. 2 "Pro Gino" Atthaya Thitikul played outstandingly, adding 8 under par for a total score of 22 under par, 266, to clinch the championship.
Pro Gino secured her third title of the season, following the "Honda LPGA Thailand" in February and the "Mizuho Americas Open" in May.
This also marks her 10th LPGA Tour victory, earning a prize of $300,000, roughly 10.2 million baht.
Other Thai female golfers performed well: "Pro Piano" Aphichaya Yubon and "Pro Prow" Chanettee Wannasaen, last year's champion, tied for second at 21 under par, 267; "Pro Mew" Pajaree Anannarukarn tied for fifth at 16 under par, 272; and "Pro Hut" Suwijaya Winitchaiyam tied for eighth at 15 under par, 273.
