Four Yamaha Riders Ready to Chase the 2026 MotoGP Championship, Kicking Off the Season at the Thai GP

Yamaha joined a press conference to launch the 2026 MotoGP season, starting the year with the Thai GP and creating the YamahaGP Pavilion to offer a world-class experience for speed fans.

Thai Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. participated in the countdown press conference for the PT Grand Prix of Thailand 2026, as Thailand was honored to host the opening round of the 2026 MotoGP season. This reflects the country's capability as a global motorsport hub and reinforces Yamaha's image as a brand continuously driving the motorsport industry.

Mr. Pongsathorn Uermkongchai, Chief Executive Officer; Mr. Phanupol Kittikhamron, Senior Advisor to the Chief Trade Officer; and Mr. Ukrit Pakwiwat, Deputy General Manager of Trade Planning and Marketing at Thai Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd., were honored to take photos with Dr. Kongsak Yodmanee, Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand; Mr. Tonaisiri Charnwitayaram, Managing Director of Chang International Circuit; and Mr. Chotichon Chidchob, Director of International Activities at Chang International Circuit.

For this year's competition, Thai Yamaha is elevating the motorsport fan experience by creating the YamahaGP Pavilion, a large air-conditioned dome at Chang International Circuit. It will serve as a unique experience hub for Yamaha fans worldwide, packed with entertainment activities, exclusive souvenirs, and close meet-and-greet events over three full days. This reflects the brand’s concept of seamlessly connecting 'motorsport, technology, and lifestyle.'

A key highlight at the YamahaGP Pavilion is meeting four world-class Yamaha riders, led by former world champion Frenchman Fabio Quartararo #20, alongside Spanish rider Alex Rins #42 from the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Team, Australian rider Jack Miller #43, and three-time World Superbike champion from Turkey, Toprak Razgatlioglu #7, from the Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP Team.

In the 2026 season, all four Yamaha riders will compete on the latest version of the YAMAHA YZR-M1 race bike, featuring a 1,000cc V4 Project engine throughout the season.

Additionally, motorsport fans who purchase tickets for any seat in the 'YAMAHA STAND' zone will have a chance to win major prizes, including:

1.) An ALL NEW YAMAHA NMAX (STD) motorcycle accompanied by a helmet signed by Fabio Quartararo.

2.) An ALL NEW YAMAHA AEROX motorcycle with a helmet signed by Alex Rins.

These prizes are valued at over 238,700 baht, with the lucky draw taking place on Saturday, 28 February 2026, at the YamahaGP Pavilion. Yamaha fans holding tickets are encouraged not to miss this opportunity.

The PT Grand Prix of Thailand 2026 will be held from 27 February to 1 March 2026 at Chang International Circuit, Buriram Province. The countdown press conference was recently held at the Ballroom, 2nd Floor, Ratchaphruek Club, North Park, Viphavadi Rangsit Road, Bangkok.
