
Yamaha Thailand Racing Team is ready to compete in the Asia Road Racing Championship Round 2, sending three Thai riders to chase the podium at their home race in Buriram.
Yamaha Thailand Racing Team, one of Thailand’s top motorcycle racing teams, announced its readiness to compete in the Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) 2026 Round 2, scheduled from 8-10 May 2026 at Chang International Circuit in Buriram Province. The team will field three Thai riders striving for success in front of Thai motorsport fans.
The press conference was led by
Mr. Ukrit Pakwiwat, Deputy General Manager of Commercial Planning and Marketing,
Mr. Weerapong Thanakitchananont, General Manager of Motorsport,
and Mr. Jiraphat Saiphet, General Manager of Marketing Communications and Sponsorship,
all from Thai Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd., who posed for photos with Mrs. Prodpran Samanmitr, Deputy Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand for Professional Sports and Boxing,
Mr. Ron Hock, Chairman of Two Wheels Motor Racing, the competition rights holder,
and Mr. Chotichon Chidchob, Director of International Events at Chang International Circuit.
The event was held at the CW Tower building as part of the 2026 Asia Road Racing Championship season press conference. Thailand continues to host the event for the 12th consecutive year.
For Round 2, Yamaha Thailand Racing Team will compete in both main categories, led by
“Tee” Anuphap Samul competing in the SuperSport 600cc class on the YAMAHA YZF-R6 bike number 500,
“Idea” Kritphat Khueankham competing in the Asia Production 250cc class on the YAMAHA YZF-R3 bike number 39,
alongside “Gas” Theeranai Thabtim, a rising star granted a wildcard entry, racing bike number 36.
All three Thai riders are determined to deliver their best performances at their home race, fueled by the cheers of Thai motorsport fans, aiming for podium positions and to accumulate points for the 2026 season.
