TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Thailand 2026 Reinforces Vision of “MAKING EVER-BETTER MOTORSPORTS-BRED CARS”

TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Thailand 2026 reinforces the vision “MAKING EVER-BETTER MOTORSPORTS-BRED CARS,” developing from racetracks to better cars powered by diverse energy sources, aiming to stimulate regional economy and tourism.

Mr. Noriaki Yamashita, President of Toyota Motor Thailand Co., Ltd., alongside Mr. Pruthirat Ratanakun Seriringrit, President of the Royal Automobile Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage, and Mr. Supakorn Rattanavara, Senior Executive Vice President of Toyota Motor Thailand, announced the “TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Thailand 2026” event. This year marks the 40th anniversary of Toyota motorsports in Thailand, underscoring their commitment to advancing technology, vehicles, and personnel from racetrack to practical use.

For Toyota, motorsports serve as the foundation for creating better vehicles. They have expanded collaboration with partners through numerous competitions worldwide, challenging limits on various tracks while simultaneously improving technology.

TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Thailand 2026 under the concept “MAKING EVER-BETTER MOTORSPORTS-BRED CARS.”

1. Developing better cars from racing through four one-make race categories: Yaris ATIV Lady One Make Race, YARIS One Make Race, Hilux REVO One Make Race, and Corolla ALTIS GR Sport One Make Race.

2. Highlights of this year's activities.

A special first-ever race category, “YARIS ATIV HEV GR SPORT CHALLENGE CUP,” featuring journalists, influencers selected from TGR Academy, and Lady racers this year, including:

•    Journalists – from popular pages CokeyP-Kok, Carnest-Japan, and Bank Street Metal.

•    Influencers – Top Tosaphol Sudte, influencer Saendai, and national sports footballer Leesaw, competing in motorsports for the first time.

•    TGR Academy participants – N'Bew, passionate and eager to pursue what she loves.

•    Lady OMR racers Miya Thongjua and Chacha Ramnarong, newcomers competing this year in both AITV LADY and YARIS ATIV HEV GR SPORT Challenge Cup classes.

The event showcases various models, including BEV electric vehicles demonstrating performance on the track with the bZ4X and electric pickup Travo-e, 4x4 Adventure featuring Hilux Travo Overland pickups and PPV Fortuner and FJ under tough conditions, GR Performance series including GR Yaris, GR Corolla, and GR 86. Exclusive activities for GR customers include GR Track Experience in Buriram, Phuket, and Chiang Mai, TOYOTA Star Team continuing from 2025 with racers Miya (Yaris ATIV Lady One Make Race), Paipai (YARIS One Make Race), and Pangpond (Corolla ALTIS GR Sport One Make Race), providing ongoing excitement and fun.

3. Experience the thrilling TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Thailand 2026 events across four provinces and five nationwide races.

Race 1: 1–5 July, Chonburi.

Race 2: 29–30 August, Phuket.

Races 3 and 4: 24–27 September, Buriram.

Race 5 (final): 21–22 November, Chiang Mai.


4. Building pride through collaboration with Thai engineers to develop vehicles for real-world use with diverse energy options.

Toyota continues to advance vehicle development under real racing conditions with Thai engineers from Toyota Motor Asia (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (TMA).

1. Developing HEV vehicles through race participation.

•    Yaris ATIV HEV GR SPORT Challenge Cup debuts as a Circuit One Make Race in Phuket province.

•    Yaris ATIV HEV competes in marathon-style RAAT Thailand Endurance Championship.

•    Yaris Cross HEV participates in off-road RAAT Thailand Rally Championship.

2. Developing Hilux Travo for Asia Cross Country Rally (AXCR) competition.

3. Promoting continuous use of alternative Carbon Neutral Mobility energy by racing Yaris Carbon Neutral Fuel and Yaris ATIV Carbon Neutral Fuel in ONE MAKE Race events.

They also display the performance of battery electric vehicles (BEV) through models bZ4X and Travo-e, reflecting the potential of future technology.


5. Committed to enhancing team capabilities and developing race cars.

Currently focusing on elevating professional drivers' skills by supporting the “TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Thailand” team across seven categories covering both circuit and rally competitions, including:

Circuit racing categories:

•    Yaris ATIV HEV, debuting in Thailand in the RAAT Thailand Endurance Championship.

•    GR Supra competing in Thailand Super Series (TSS).

•    Hilux Champ competing in Thailand Super Series (TSS).

•    Yaris ATIV competing in Thailand Super Series (TSS).

Rally racing categories:

Hilux Travo debuting in Asia Cross Country Rally (AXCR).

Yaris Cross HEV competing in RAAT Thailand Rally Championship.


6. e-Motorsport competition for Thailand’s championship: “TOYOTA GAZOO RACING THAILAND ESPORT GT CHAMPIONSHIP 2026” advancing to the Asian stage, encouraging youth engagement in motorsports.

Returning to find top racers in the popular Gran Turismo 7 game on PlayStation through the TOYOTA GAZOO RACING THAILAND ESPORT GT CHAMPIONSHIP 2026. Winners will represent Thailand in Asian-level contests. Follow and register at https://www.facebook.com/ToyotaGazooRacingThailand.
