“Miya, Smith, Chokchai, Kentaro” Race to Victory in First Round of TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Thailand 2026

“Miya, Smith, Chokchai, Kentaro” race to win the first round of TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Thailand 2026, the largest motorsport festival in the country along Bang Saen Beach, and claim the championships.



Mr. Noriaki Yamashita, President of Toyota Motor Thailand Co., Ltd., together with Mr. Supakorn Rattanawaraha, Senior Vice President of Toyota Motor Thailand; Mr. Sontaya Kunplome, Chairman of the Race Committee; Mr. Narit Niramaiwong, Governor of Chonburi Province; and Mr. Pruthirat Rattanakul Seriroengrit, President of the Royal Automobile Association of Thailand under the Royal Patronage and Sports Association, jointly opened the “TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Thailand 2026” event under the theme “MAKING EVER-BETTER MOTORSPORTS-BRED CARS.” This popular one-make circuit racing season kicked off its first round from 1-5 July 2026 at Bang Saen Street Circuit, Chonburi Province.


Amid the vibrant atmosphere of Thailand’s largest beachfront motorsport festival at the renowned Bang Saen Street Circuit—famous for its beautiful yet challenging narrow track, numerous curves, and heavy braking zones demanding high precision—nearly 60 drivers, both newcomers and veterans, competed fiercely across four categories. The results were as follows.


Starting with the Yaris ATIV Lady One Make Race, which brought together female racers from various fields led by Miya Thongjue of the TOYOTA Racing Star Team driving a YARIS ATIV Carbon Neutral Fuel car. Newcomers from the entertainment industry, Tangmo-Punnada and Chacha Ramnarong, also competed. Miya Thongjue, car number 198, showed strong form from qualifying, starting from pole position and maintaining her lead to the checkered flag to win the first round. Second place went to Suthasinee Sirirak, number 116, from Team RaceGO; third to Kamonsikan Thanasinchai, number 169, from BoxzaRacing Motorsport Team; fourth to Childicha Eng, number 166, from Compact Brakes Superclub Racing; and fifth to Kitiya Theerawatwatee, number 189, from KT Team Thailand.


Next, the popular YARIS One Make Race featured the largest number of competitors and included fan favorite “Pai Pai Oreo” from the TOYOTA Racing Star Team, driving a YARIS Carbon Neutral Fuel car. The competition was intense, and the final standings were: first place Smith Thoy, number 5, from Lenso Motorsport; second place Aleeanz Voltz, number 21, from B-Quik Racing; third place Siripakorn Yaebyont, number 68, from Tmc-Drive68LensoxWolverByWootbangbon3; fourth place Sarawut Wongphothisan, number 22, from Ezi Racing Peppermintfield by Rukteam; and fifth place Patchara Roikaew, number 30, from Rodszzy x Nexkart Racing.


The Hilux REVO One Make Race provided thrilling action with the power and performance of the rugged pickup trucks. The race was intense and aggressive. The final results were: first place Chokchai Jarunongkarn, number 22; second place Jakraphan Wannarat, number 17, from Team TRANE TITANIUM x FAST FORWARD SPORT YOKOHAMA Tuned by Art; third place Chalermphon Phollukin, number 13, from VOLTRONIC NEXZTER WISE RACING TEAM BY RYNNI; fourth place Nirut Sujarit, number 19, from TM RACING TEAM; and fifth place Pheuk Loetwangpong, number 55.


The event concluded with the Corolla ALTIS GR Sport One Make Race, featuring the most skilled drivers, including Pangpond Akkarawut from the TOYOTA Racing Star Team competing for podium positions. The fierce battle lasted from the first lap to the final corner. The final standings were: first place Kentaro Shiba, number 3; second place Puriphan Vechwongsatechawat, number 39, from TRANE Titanium FAST FORWARD SPORT; third place Sirithana Mitari, number 66, from Lenso Motorsport Sinthorn by Vanguard Garage; fourth place Komura Toshiki, number 22; and fifth place Natthanun Phuathongkham, number 16, from N-Sports, Acre, Singha Team Vattan.


Beyond the thrilling races, TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Thailand 2026 offered a full range of activities for motorsport fans, including Meet & Greet sessions with professional drivers from TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Thailand and the TOYOTA Racing Star Team such as Pangpond Akkarawut, Miya Thongjue, and Pai Pai Oreo. Fans experienced the 4x4 Experience by testing Toyota Hilux Travo and Land Cruiser FJ vehicles on a 5-meter-high simulated mountain. There were fun booths from sponsors, special promotions from six Toyota dealers in Chonburi Province, opportunities to purchase official TOYOTA GAZOO Racing merchandise (GR Collection) and car accessories, and a lively gathering of car clubs nationwide showcasing their prized vehicles along Bang Saen Beach.


The second round of TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Thailand will bring the excitement to Phuket Province, featuring a special race: the “YARIS ATIV HEV GR SPORT CHALLENGE CUP,” debuting exclusively in Phuket. This one-make race will showcase the YARIS ATIV HEV GR SPORT with automotive media representatives—Coke-Cokey P, Japan-Carnest, and Bank Street Metal—alongside influencers and celebrities such as Top Tosapol, Leesaw Theerathep Winothai, Sendai-Sodstyle, Nong Bew from TGR Academy, Miya Thongjue, and Chacha Ramnarong. The event will also feature a GR Performance Show with GR series cars including the GR Yaris, GR Corolla, and GR86 performing Gymkhana demonstrations, plus concerts and entertainment activities with famous artists and influencers, offering fans close-up experiences of speed and fun.
