TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Thailand deploys Hilux TRAVO to compete in AXCR 2026.
Mr. Natthorn Srinivet, Assistant Managing Director of Toyota Motor Thailand Co., Ltd., Mr. Samut Tankachawana, Director of Passenger Car Marketing, and Mr. Tawepong Chaitheerapinyo, Acting Director of Commercial Vehicle Marketing at Toyota Motor Thailand Co., Ltd., along with Mr. Sutthipong Samitchat, Director of TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Thailand, Thai engineers from Toyota Motor Asia (Thailand) Co., Ltd. – TMA (TH), and TCD Asia Co., Ltd., jointly held the official opening ceremony and vehicle send-off for the “Asia Cross Country Rally 2026” (AXCR 2026). They also cheered on the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Thailand team as they prepared to tackle the grueling annual Asia Cross Country Rally on 9 August at Walking Street, South Pattaya.
This year, TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Thailand is entering three Hilux TRAVO vehicles: two in class T1D—car number 102 driven by Mana Pornsiricherd and Kitisak Klinjan, car number 107 driven by Nattapon Angrithanon and Thanyapat Meenil—and one in class T2A-D—car number 130 driven by Phurimas Thincharn and Prakai Namjaithahan. Together, they will face the demanding 2,000-kilometer Pattaya to Phitsanulok rally route, a critical test of both vehicle performance and driver capability on one of the most challenging courses of the year. Supported by Toyota Motor Thailand Co., Ltd., the team aims to collect vital data under intense competitive conditions to further develop superior automotive innovations for Thai drivers in the future, in line with the MAKING EVER-BETTER MOTORSPORTS-BRED CARS philosophy, which evolves from racing experience to better road vehicles. The Asia Cross Country Rally 2026 (AXCR 2026) runs from 10 to 15 August 2026.
