The tournament runs from 16-22 March 2026, with a total prize fund of £825,000 (approximately 36.1 million baht), held in Yushan, China.
Previously, "F1" Thepchaiya Un-Nooh caused a major surprise in the semifinals by defeating world No.1 Judd Trump 6-4 frames, closing the match with a precise long black ball in the deciding frame. This marked his first appearance in a final in six years.
Meanwhile, Ronnie O'Sullivan narrowly beat China's rising star Wu Yize 6-5 frames. O'Sullivan also made history by scoring a 153-point maximum break—the highest ever in his career—during the quarterfinals where he defeated Ryan Day 5-0 frames.
