Rising to the podium! "Diao Suriyon" teams up with "Coach Diao," former SEA Games hero, to claim third place at HYROX Bangkok 2026.
On 22 March 2026, actor and strength athlete Diao Suriyon Arunwatthanakul paired with his partner, former Thai national track athlete Coach Diao Patikarn Petsricha, silver medalist at the 2007 SEA Games, to demonstrate their fitness at the 2nd HYROX Bangkok 2026. Together they soared to secure third place in their age category with well-deserved honor.
In the men's doubles 40-44 age group, the duo showcased premium strength, finishing with a net time of just 1:03:02 hours. This earned them third place in their age category amid a competitive field of over 1,552 male pairs, ranking 42nd overall in the event—placing them in the top 3% of all athletes.
This achievement was backed by the impressive international experience of Coach Diao Patarin Petsricha, a former Thai national athlete who won a silver medal in the 24th SEA Games (2007) in the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase—one of track and field’s toughest events.
In the 8 km run, the pair completed the distance in just 32:33 minutes, placing them within the top 9.1% of the field.
For teamwork conquering the 8 stations, they completed the grueling challenges in only 22:53 minutes.
“Pushing through together” — a testament to friendship and discipline. After the race, Coach Diao Patarin shared his heartfelt feelings:
“Strength isn’t measured just by the body, but by making it to the finish line together. 1:03:02 isn’t just a number; it represents our dedication on the toughest day, which also became the proudest day of our lives.”
The 2026 competition marked a new milestone in Thailand’s fitness scene, with a massive turnout of over 17,500 participants—nearly double from the inaugural year—cementing Thailand’s status as the regional hub for Fitness Racing.
Their victory serves as a major inspiration, proving that former Thai national heroes continue to maintain high fitness standards and positively motivate the younger generation admirably.
