Apisara delivers a strong performance, sweeping 4 titles at the third round of the Thailand Track Cycling Championships.

Apisara Srimongkol, a Thai national cyclist preparing for the 20th Asian Games from Team Prime19, showed outstanding form by winning 4 individual titles at the Thailand Track Cycling Championships for the Queen Sirikit Cup 2026, Round 3. Meanwhile, "Sergeant-Muek" revealed plans to scout talented cyclists to strengthen the Thai national team for the major international track event, the Track Asia Cup 2026, hosted by Thailand, along with an intensive training program ahead of the Asian Games in Japan.

The third round of the Thailand Track Cycling Championships for the Queen Sirikit Cup 2026 took place from 29-31 May 2026 at the Velodrome under the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) in Hua Mak. The opening ceremony on 29 May was presided over by "Sergeant-Muek," General Decha Hemkrasri, Vice President of the Asian Cycling Confederation (ACC), President of the ASEAN Cycling Federation (ACF), and President of the Cycling Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage. The executive committee of the association also attended. The event was broadcast live on Facebook via the Thailand Cycling Association and TCA Channel, as well as on YouTube's TCA Channel, reaching over 8,500 viewers in total.

After the opening, General Decha stated that this event is the third of five rounds where athletes compete to accumulate points. The highest total scorer will be awarded the royal trophy, which is the athletes' main goal. Additionally, the Cycling Association will select athletes to represent Thailand in the international Track Asia Cup 2026 from 28-30 August at the Hua Mak Velodrome. This is an Asia Class 1 event with multiple countries participating to earn points toward qualification for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, USA.

General Decha added that for the Thai national team's preparation for the 20th Asian Games in Nagoya, Japan, the Cycling Association plans to conduct training camps in China in two phases: the first from 15 June to 20 August, after which athletes will return to compete in the international Track Asia Cup 2026; the second from 1 to 24 September. Then, athletes will travel directly from China to Japan to minimize travel fatigue. The expected goal at the Asian Games is to secure at least one medal in the sprint team event. In individual sprint and keirin events, with Jai Angsuthasawit as a key athlete, the chances are roughly 50-50, as are the chances in the omnium event with Beez, prospective Police Lieutenant Juthathip Maneepan.

General Decha also mentioned that in road cycling, the men's team will compete in the Tour de Gyeongnam international race in South Korea from 9-13 June, while the women's team will participate in the Grand Prix Jizzakh in Uzbekistan on 18-19 June. For BMX racing, the Asian Games preparation squad including Sergeant Gometh Sukprasert, Mr. Puttapoom Nakpan, Sergeant Chutikarn Kitwanitseth, and Ms. Hathai Phet Jaiswang will compete in the BMX Banyuwangi Supercross in Indonesia from 27-28 June.
