Nene Royal Sends Support to Thai Rugby Team for Asia Series in China

"Nene Royal" sends encouragement to the Thai rugby team competing in the Asia Series in China.

Sixteen-year-old Thai guitarist and singer Nene Royal, or Rattikan Amlai, from Phuket, who gained fame reaching the finals of America’s Got Talent, sent a video message encouraging the Thai national rugby players ahead of an important Asian competition in China.

Previously, Pol. Lt. Col. Kulthan Prajuabmoa, president of the Rugby Football Union of Thailand under Royal Patronage, had followed and supported Nene since her audition round. Before the quarterfinals, he conceived the idea for both the men's and women's national rugby teams to send their support to the young Thai artist making a name on the global stage.

The association supported "Nene Royal" shirts, provided at a special price, for the national players to wear during training in China as a symbol of encouragement for Nene to pursue her dreams.

Currently, the Thai men's and women's national 7s rugby teams are preparing to compete in the first leg of the Asia Rugby Emirates Sevens Series 2026, held on 29-30 August 2026 in Suzhou, People's Republic of China.

Recently, Nene recorded a video sending encouragement back to the Thai rugby players, urging them to perform their best and succeed in representing Thailand on the Asian stage.

This is a touching example of Thai youth pursuing dreams on the global music stage and national athletes competing on the Asian sports field, supporting each other. It shows that though their dreams take place on different stages, all achievements bring pride and honor to Thailand.
