Thai national team blocking scores 5 out of 10. Assistant coach "Coach Oo" points out that the women's volleyball team is still unable to perform as practiced.
On 13 Dec 2025 GMT+7, ahead of the women's volleyball SEA Games 2025, the Thai national team is scheduled to play Indonesia in the semifinals on 14 Dec 2025 GMT+7 at 15:00, competing for a spot in the final.
Although the Thai team won all group stage matches, their problem lies in scoring from blocks. Assistant coach Theerasak Nakprasong, known as "Coach Oo," said Thailand’s blocking success has not met practice standards. "I believe the team can do better. In the last two games, for blocks that scored points, I would rate them 5-6 out of 10."
Hatthaya Bamrungsuk, the team's middle blocker, explained the blocking shortfall by pointing to timing issues between the wing spikers and middle blockers. "The balance wasn’t good because we had limited time to adjust. I believe the next two matches will be more solid."
Taddao Nukjaeng added that the playing rhythm isn’t fully synchronized yet, causing inconsistency. "We won’t underestimate the next two games since both teams have strong systems, but we will rely on our own system to compete."
