First time in his life! Naphadet Pinijdee fires up the Thai men's volleyball team before their gold medal match against Indonesia at the 2025 SEA Games.

On 19 Dec 2025 GMT+7, after the Thai men's national volleyball team, coached by South Korean Park Ki-won, secured a spot in the final of the 2025 SEA Games men's volleyball tournament by delivering a strong performance to defeat the Philippines 3-0 in the semifinals with scores of 25-20, 25-19, and 25-21.

They broke a curse of three consecutive semifinal exits, earned a ticket to the gold medal match, and have a chance to claim the SEA Games championship again after eight years, playing in front of Thai sports fans as the host country.

After the game, Naphadet Pinijdee said, “Today's match was about reaching the final. Every team member tried their best, and today the opposing side made quite a few errors.”

Regarding today's performance, Ham said, “Overall, everyone's play followed our practice. There was a moment late in the third set when the team lost focus, but we managed to recover.”

“It's my first time reaching the SEA Games final. I will give my all. On the final day, we have nothing to lose, and we hope to perform even better than before.”

He concluded by thanking the volleyball fans who came to cheer at the venue and those who sent encouragement through various channels, assuring that everyone on the team will do their utmost.

The Thai young men’s team will face the defending champions Indonesia in the final, who won their semifinal against Vietnam 3-2. The final will take place on 19 Dec at 17:30 GMT+7.
