Somporn Chaibangyang, President of the Volleyball Association of Thailand, is seeking support from sponsors with the aim of securing funding to back the Thailand League volleyball competition. He emphasized that all funds received will be used with full transparency.
On 6 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Somporn Chaibangyang, President of the Volleyball Association of Thailand, revealed that the association still requires additional sponsors to ensure the Thailand League volleyball competition this year can be organized effectively. Despite full efforts to coordinate, they have yet to reach all potential interested investors, so he invites interested private sector entities to join in advancing Thai volleyball together.
The President stated, “The annual budget required to operate is quite substantial. Sponsorship is not only about supporting the competition itself but also about jointly promoting sports to develop people and bring recognition to our country. This ultimately benefits our nation, which has always been the association’s key goal.”
Regarding sponsorship budget details, Somporn explained that amounts vary by category according to suitability. The association does not focus on profit but only requests sufficient funds to effectively carry out the competition’s organization. The association welcomes discussions with both business sectors and state enterprises interested in finding a balance that maximizes benefits for both parties.
Additionally, Somporn expressed gratitude to long-standing sponsors who have continuously stood by the association, including the "One Sports Association, One State Enterprise" project that has supported various sports associations despite a decline in sponsors due to economic conditions. The association pledges that every baht of sponsorship received will be genuinely used to develop volleyball and generate the greatest possible benefit.
