Supreme Thipya Chonburi-E.Tech welcomes back Viphavee, the outside hitter and Korean league champion, preparing to return to the court after one year.
On 17 Feb 2026 GMT+7, it was reported that Viphavee Srithong, the outside hitter of the Thailand women's national volleyball team, suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and damage to the lateral meniscus while playing for her club, Hyundai Hillstate, in the 2024/25 KOVO V-League in South Korea on 7 Feb.
Despite her injury, her past performance led the Red Sparks team to draft Viphavee Srithong, a Thai national player, under the Asian quota. Although she was undergoing long-term knee injury rehabilitation, she had yet to play a single match for the Red Sparks.
Her contract was eventually terminated, and the team decided to replace her with Inkhus, a 20-year-old outside hitter from Mongolia.
Recently, Supreme Thipya Chonburi-E.Tech, a prominent volleyball team in the Thailand League, has reached an agreement to bring back Viphavee Srithong for the second leg of the 2026 Thailand League.
Viphavee Srithong is a homegrown player, a product of coach Nipon Jamchang, a renowned coach at Bodindecha (Sing Singhaseni) School, a powerhouse in high school volleyball. She played over 10 years for the Pink Dolphins, achieving multiple titles including three Thailand League championships, three Super League titles, and two Asian Club Championships before seeking new challenges. She later won the KOVO V-League championship with Hyundai Hillstate in South Korea.
Currently, the Thai national outside hitter is undergoing rehabilitation in South Korea following surgery for an injury sustained last year. She is expected to return to Thailand soon.
The 26-year-old volleyball player said, “I am happy to be part of the team again. Anyone who misses me can come see me at the court. Please come and support Supreme. See you in the Thailand League.”
