CV League 2026 Schedule Finalized: Thai Mens Team to Face Cambodia, Womens Team Competes Among Four Nations

The CV League volleyball tournament is set to deliver excitement in 2026 following a meeting of ASEAN Volleyball Federation member countries to plan major competitions, with Thailand taking the role of host for several events, including the continental under-18 women's championship.

On 6 March 2026, at the 12th-floor conference room of the Volleyball Association of Thailand in Huamark, Bangkok, Mr. Somporn Chaibangyang, President of the Volleyball Association of Thailand and Chairman of the Southeast Asian Volleyball Federation, chaired the ASEAN Volleyball Federation meeting. Air Force Senior Pilot Charnrit Wongprasert, the federation’s advisor, and Air Force Sergeant Major Natthapong Kesa-phan, Secretary-General of the Volleyball Association of Thailand, also attended.

Representatives from seven member countries attended the meeting: Indonesia, the Philippines, Myanmar, Cambodia, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Thailand, along with television station delegates from each country. They discussed organizing the 6th CV League volleyball tournament scheduled for July–August 2026.

In the men's category, six countries will compete: Cambodia, Indonesia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. Myanmar joins this year, increasing competition intensity. The Thai national team is preparing to face Cambodia and other regional rivals for the championship. The first leg will be hosted by the Philippines from 15–19 July, and the second leg by Indonesia from 22–26 July.

For the women's category, four nations will participate: Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. The first leg will be held in Vietnam from 31 July to 2 August, with the second leg hosted by Chiang Mai, Thailand, from 7–9 August.

The meeting also discussed selecting ASEAN representatives for the under-18 Asian Volleyball Championships. The women's event will take place from 1–7 July 2026 in Nakhon Ratchasima, with Thailand as host and participant. The Philippines qualified based on previous performance, and two more ASEAN countries will be selected to join.

The men's under-18 competition will run from 12–18 July 2026 in Manama, Bahrain. Thailand qualified through prior results, and two more ASEAN nations will be chosen to participate. If more than two countries express interest, a qualifying tournament will be held before May 2026.

This meeting marks a significant step forward for ASEAN volleyball, aiming to develop regional competitions and provide opportunities for ASEAN teams to advance to the Asian stage.
