Piyanuch Confirms Injury Not Serious After Colliding with Teammate (Video)

"Piyanuch Paennoi," a Thai female volleyball player, confirmed her injury is not serious after a full knee collision with a teammate.

On 24 March 2026, "Paen" Piyanuch Paennoi, a player for the Thai national women's volleyball team, provided an update on her condition following an accident during the League One Volleyball (LOVB) match where Salt Lake lost 3-0 to Atlanta, Piyanuch's team, with scores of 25-17, 25-22, and 25-22.

The incident happened when Piyanuch lunged to receive the ball but her face collided directly with the knee of teammate Mckenzie Adams, causing her to collapse on the floor with a nosebleed. She was immediately substituted out of the game.

Recently, Piyanuch updated her injury status on her Instagram Story: "My nose is not broken; it’s still strong. I just bruised my knee from hitting my teammate. I think my dodging skills are decent, but this time I really messed up."

Currently, the LOVB Atlanta team holds second place with 16 matches played, 9 wins, 7 losses, and a score tally of 1330-1349.

Besides the team's strong performance, Piyanuch’s statistics are also impressive. She ranks first in reception percentage at 67.4%, second in reception efficiency at 2.73, and has accumulated 1047 individual points, ranking 15th in the league to date.

The next LOVB match is Nebraska versus Atlanta on Thursday, 26 March 2026, at 07:00 GMT+7.
