After the Thailand women's national volleyball team began training to prepare for various competitions in 2026 without Thanachha 'Mome' Suksas on the roster, Coach Ot Kiattipong Ratchata-Kriangkrai, head coach of the team, recently addressed the reason for Mome's absence.
On 12 May 2026 GMT+7, Coach Ot said, “Everyone is tired, but not equally. Mome might be more exhausted due to the league competitions in her home country (Korea) and some injuries. Physical fatigue is part of it, and mental fatigue is another. She contacted the team manager (Captain Gift) to say she might want to take a break this year. We didn't object; if she needs rest, she deserves it. That’s her reason.”
“The association has players from various age groups prepared to replace anyone if needed. Mome herself is very capable and performed well this year with her club. But if she is too fatigued to train, she can rest. It’s her right and her decision.”
As for Thanachha 'Mome' Suksas, she ended her three-year tenure with Korea Expressway Hi-Pass and transferred to GS Caltex Seoul, the reigning champions of the Korean league.
