Coach Ott Confirms 30 Female Volleyball Players to Remain in Training Camp Through Asian Games

Coach Ott, head coach of the Thailand women's national volleyball team, confirms that 30 female players will remain in the training camp long-term through the Asian Games.

On 14 May 2026, updates on the Thailand women's national volleyball team show they are in training camp preparing for the 2026 Nations League (VNL 2026), with their first match against Serbia scheduled for 3 June at 14:00.

Coach Ott Kiattipong Ratchateerakrai, head coach of the Thailand women's volleyball team, revealed, “This week we planned preparations for the VNL. We arranged matches against Serbia and tested with a men's team today as practice for playing Serbia. We are planning how to face them. On Saturday, we will play against China. Many players have received input from the coaching staff and statistics team; we have held meetings together.”

“Regarding rumors about a 21-player roster, Coach Ott said we actually have a list of 30 players who will stay in camp through the Asian Games. Each player will follow different schedules based on the coaching and medical staff’s plans.”

“This year, we are developing three main scoring skills: serving, blocking, and spiking. For serving, the powerful jump serve aims for 90 km/h; currently, Omsin Sasipaporn Chanthavisut achieves this. For the hybrid serve, the target is 80 km/h; currently, Beam Pimpichaya Kokram achieves this. Jump serves at 70 km/h are achieved by over half the team. The second focus is blocking, tailored to each player’s position, and the third is spiking.”
