Thailand Announces 15-Woman Volleyball Team for VNL 2026 Opener in China Led by Pornpan

The Thailand Volleyball Association has announced the 15-player roster for the Thailand women's national volleyball team competing in the first week of the 2026 Volleyball Nations League (VNL 2026), from 3-7 June 2026 in Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province, People's Republic of China. The team features a core of senior players blended with several rising stars gaining international experience.

On 29 May 2026, the setter positions are led by veteran captain "Chompoo" Pornpan Kidaprach, alongside Natthanin Jaisean, who will alternate in directing the team's gameplay.

The libero roles are handled by Piyanuch Paennoi and Kalyarat Khamwong, responsible for defense and serve reception.

In the fast attack positions, Thaddao Nukjaeng and Kaewkalaya Kamultala lead the charge, joined by Wimalrat Thanaphan and the rising star Kanyarath Khunmuang, who continues to earn a spot on the senior team.

For outside hitter and middle blocker positions, "Beam" Pimpichaya Kokram is the mainstay, supported by Papatchaya Plathum and Nannaphat Mooljakham, who are viewed as promising new talents. Experienced players Ajcharaporn Kongyot and Sasipaporn Janthawisut combine with newcomers Warisara Sitalert and Kanthima Ekpatcha, who are gaining their first VNL experience.

The staff includes team manager Amarin Boonkong, head coach Kiattipong Ratchatkriangkrai, with coaches Theerasak Nakprasong, Arouma Sitthirak, and Somchai Donphrai-yod. The medical team features team doctor Dr. Norasak Suwajittanont, sports scientist Nathorapee Pholyai, and physiotherapist Sutamas Sutthiviriyakul.

The Thai women's volleyball team will depart for China on Sunday, 31 May 2026, via Capital Airlines flight JD620 at 15:40, arriving at Nanjing Lukou International Airport at 21:10 local time.
