On 2 June 2026, "Coach Ott" Kiattipong Ratchatkriangkrai and "Chompu" Pornpun Guedpard shared their team's readiness and key focus areas ahead of the Thai women's national volleyball team’s fierce encounter against Serbia in the FIVB Women's Volleyball Nations League 2026 Week 1, Match 1, scheduled for tomorrow at 14:00 Thailand time.
The Thai women's volleyball team held their first training session at the Nanjing Olympic Sports Center training court, spending one and a half hours focusing on serving, serve reception, and ball reception to transition effectively into offense. Head coach Kiattipong Ratchatkriangkrai expressed satisfaction with the players' physical condition and today's practice. He noted that tomorrow afternoon, the team will have another one and a half hour session on the competition court, concentrating on team systems before their first match. Team captain "Chompu" Pornpun Guedpard added that although the team is fatigued from travel, they face no issues and are currently in an adjustment phase.
After practice, Coach Ott had the players spend an additional hour in the hotel fitness center to strengthen muscles in preparation for the demanding games of the first week. Thailand's first match will be against Serbia on Wednesday, 3 June, at 14:00 Thailand time.
