Coach Ots Decision Following Thailand Womens Volleyball Teams Five Consecutive Losses in VNL 2026

Coach Ot has made a decision after the Thailand women's national volleyball team lost five consecutive matches against Ukraine in VNL 2026.

Coach Ot, Kiattipong Radchatagriengkai, head coach of the Thailand women's national volleyball team, expressed regret after the Thai team narrowly lost to Ukraine 2-3 sets (23-25, 25-19, 26-28, 25-22, 10-15) in the first match of the second leg of the 2026 FIVB Women's Volleyball Nations League (VNL) at Indoor Stadium Huamark, Bangkok. He confirmed that everyone remains determined to achieve victory in VNL 2026 despite losing five straight matches.

Coach Ot said, "It's disappointing today that we couldn't secure a win. Looking at the stats, we need to maintain our strengths. In sets 1 and 2, it's a pity we couldn't win; had we won the first set, the game's momentum might have shifted. However, we performed well in sets 2 and 3. In the fifth set, we lost focus early, giving away 5-6 points ourselves. Our serve changes were ineffective, so we need to discuss this further."

"As for tomorrow's match against Bulgaria, the coaching staff has studied their play from last week and today. We will strategize on how to beat them. We must preserve our strengths and work on correcting our weaknesses."

"I affirm that everyone is still determined to win, but we must control the mindset. Playing with the desire to win is different from playing just not to lose. Sometimes, playing not to lose causes stress and pressure. Everyone must support each other. Lastly, I thank all the fans for their tremendous support, whether at the stadium or at home. Tomorrow we will give our best; our determination remains strong."

Next, the Thailand women's volleyball team will play their second match of the second leg in VNL 2026 against Bulgaria, ranked 20th in the world, on Thursday, 18 June at 20:30.
