Coach Shin Speaks Honestly After Thai Womens Volleyball Teams Loss to Netherlands in VNL 2026

Shin Yoshida, staff coach of the Thailand women's national volleyball team, revealed areas that the Thai female volleyball players need to develop after the conclusion of VNL 2026 Round 2.

Following the Thailand women's national volleyball team’s 0-3 set loss to the Netherlands—23-25, 22-25, 15-25—in the final match of VNL 2026 Round 2 at Indoor Stadium Huamark, Bangkok.

"Coach Shin," Shin Yoshida, a Japanese statistical analyst and one of the Thai national team’s staff coaches, said during the game, "We need to play more aggressively. We are somewhat intimidated when facing them (the Netherlands). In the next set, we have to reset ourselves and be more aggressive."

Next, the Thai women's volleyball team will compete in VNL 2026 Round 3 in Japan from 8-12 July, facing the United States, Japan, Brazil, and Turkey.
