On 6 Jul 2026, Coach Ott, Kiatphong Ratchatkriangkrai, revealed the readiness of the Thai women's national volleyball team as they held their first practice before competing in the 2026 Volleyball Nations League (VNL 2026) Round 3, the final week, in Osaka, Japan.
Coach Ott divided the practice into three parts, starting with the team's own training focusing on fundamentals such as serving, serve reception, and spiking, in which all players performed well. He also prepared the team for competition against the United States by analyzing the U.S. team's strengths and planning how Thailand would block and counterattack to secure a win. This strategic training was done twice, with good results. Physical conditioning was also prepared through a program designed by Dr. Natoratee and his team to maintain strength without overexertion. After practice, the team completed an additional hour of weight training. Tonight, the coaching staff will meet to select the best 14 players for the opening match.
Coach Ott also stated that tomorrow the Thai women's volleyball team will have a training session at the competition venue in the afternoon, where the team will finalize detailed game plans to fully prepare for the match against the United States. Today's practice went well both physically and mentally. Tomorrow's session will focus on technical details for the opening match against the U.S. team, scheduled for Wednesday, 8 June, at 13:30 Thailand time.
