Sarah Ankomah Opens Up After Helping Thailand Womens Volleyball Team in First VNL 2026 Match

Sarah Ankomah shares her thoughts after helping the Thailand women's volleyball team in their first VNL 2026 match.

Following Thailand's women's volleyball team's 1-3 loss to Turkey, with set scores of 27-25, 21-25, 19-25, 22-25, in the final match of VNL 2026 Stage 3 held in Osaka, Japan, Thailand concludes the VNL 2026 across all 3 stages with 12 matches played, 3 wins, 9 losses, and 12 points total.

After the game, Sarah Ankomah, setter for Thailand's women's volleyball team, said, “I'm very happy to experience my first VNL match. I didn’t feel pressured because I knew the seniors would support me. It’s been a great inspiration. Thank you to everyone who has followed and supported us throughout these three weeks.”

Meanwhile, “Fern” Warissara Sitaleart shared her thoughts on this match: “I wanted to help my seniors as much as possible, especially in defense. I might not have had many opportunities to attack, but I gave my best effort. This VNL stage is really big, with many of the world's top teams. It’s a great challenge for me. Please continue to support us.”
