"Coach Ot" has made his decision ahead of the Thai women's volleyball team debuting at the SEA V Cup 2026 Round 1.
On 31 July 2026, Coach Ot Kiattipong Ratchatkriangkrai, head coach of the Thai women's national volleyball team, spoke before the start of the 6th SEA V Cup 2026 first leg in Hanoi, Vietnam.
The tournament runs from 31 July to 2 August 2026, featuring four teams: Vietnam (host), the Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand. They will compete in a round-robin format to determine the champion by the highest total points.
The Thai women's volleyball team's latest practice yesterday lasted one hour, preparing ahead of their opening match against Indonesia today.At 16:00,Coach Ot is confident that the Thai players, especially the young ones, are eager to take the court and give their all.
The head coach said, "Everyone is giving their best. The training has been lively, and the kids want to unleash their energy, which is a good thing. Everyone is trying to reduce their mistakes; they know what they need to do.There are still areas where they haven't succeeded yet, but that adds a bit of challenge.Everyone is focused, determined, and striving to perform well."
Coach Ot confirmed that at the SEA V Cup 2026 Round 1, all players will have ample opportunities to gain game experience. This squad includes several young talents such as Serah Ankomah, Nirarat Srikuta, Warisara Sitalert, Nantnapas Mooljakham, and Paphatya Pholtam to build experience ahead of the Asian Women's Volleyball Championship and the 2026 Asian Games.
Coach Ot revealed, "We have planned how we will play against Indonesia, testing which players are best suited for each position."
"Actually, throughout this tournament, we want everyone to experience the stage and get playing time. We explained this to the players during meetings and training sessions, and the training results have been quite good."
